Let's reduce Polish prices on Steam!
Gamers, set a #kursnasteam!
Developer & Publishers, we're asking you to #PolishOurPrices!
Polish gamers deserve a fair pricing policy on Steam. Due to the update of the suggested prices that took place between 2022 and 2023, Polish people buy games at some of the highest prices in the world!
Inflated prices on Steam
What is this all about?
Due to the update of recommended regional pricing in 2022 and 2023, Poland became one of the most expensive regions in the world. The price adjustments coincided with the outbreak of war beyond our eastern border and post-COVID-19 inflation. As a result of those unfortunate events, the purchasing value of the Polish zloty almost reached a historic low. Luckily, the złoty exchange rate stabilized quite quickly and gained a fairly high value in relation to the euro and the US dollar.
Despite assuring its users that changes will be introduced regularly, Steam has not yet updated the currency converter. Currently, games that are priced in Poland based on Valve's price list are among the most expensive in the world. In our opinion, it is unfair that users from more economically developed countries pay less for digital entertainment, and the suggested value of the Polish currency is detached from market realities. Therefore, it's time to set a #kursnasteam (course on Steam)!

The Kurs na Steam petition was created to visibly outline to Valve Corporation the scale of the problem. The fact that tens of thousands of players are dissatisfied with the pricing policy should be noted.
By signing the petition, you are taking an active part in the fight to update Steam's suggested price list, thereby aligning prices in złoty with levels corresponding to prices in the rest of the EU countries.
